Resolving the Allegations, Defending the Charges

Depending on the nature of the case, there are multiple ways to approach your defense.

Drug Treatment: Through a deferred entry judgment (diversion/PC 1000), PROP 36 program, or alternative treatment program, you may be able to avoid jail time. I work creatively around the guidelines and exemptions to these programs to find a way that my client can stay out of jail. An added benefit of these treatment programs is the possibility for future expungement of the record.

Avoid Jail: If my client is ineligible for the drug treatment programs, the next step is to keep the individual out of jail. Through review of the case, facts, and suppression of evidence, I strive to negotiate reduced penalties, reduced charges, and alternative sentencing.

Minimizing Effects: A sentence is sometimes inevitable for major narcotics offenders. I work to limit exposure to these clients, suppress any evidence obtained through an illegal search and seizure, and work to minimize the charges and sentence that my client may face.
